Fulfil poll promises, Minister A Indrakaran Reddy asks new ZP chiefs in Nirmal
Nirmal: Forest and Endowment Minister A Indrakaran Reddy called upon the newly elected ZPTC chiefs to work beyond politics and work for the development of the people.
He was the chief guest at the swearing-in ceremony of new ZP chiefs at Zilla Parishad office in Nirmal on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister told the new chiefs to clear all the assurances they have given during election campaign. The State government has launched welfare schemes like never before and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had constructed Kaleshwaram project to provide irrigation water to all the lands.
The project water will be released from July 21 and from August water will be moved from Kaleshwaram project to Sri Ram Sagar Project (SRSP).
In Telangana State the forest area has been decreased from 33 to 24 per cent and to increase the forest cover to 33 per cent again, the TRS government has taken up Haritha Haram drive.
Collector M Prashanthi said the district will be listed in the top 10 in Mission Bhagiratha and urged the MLA to provide funds from his funds for the construction of school building.
Zilla Parishad chairperson Kotapalli Vijaya Lakshmi thanked ZP members for electing her as the chief and assured to develop the ZP.
Khanapur MLA Rekah Naik said that ZPTCs should work to solve the problems of the people. The State government has launched welfare schemes for the welfare of the poor people, she said.
Zilla Parishad CEO Sudheer, District Panchayat Officer Srinivas, District Library Chairperson Rajender, AMC Dharmaji Rjender, FACs chairman Ramkishan Reddy and others were present.
