Garidepally (Suryapet): A few officials of the Revenue department have not been changing their behaviour even after the corruption allegations made by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao recently.

On Monday, the sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau caught Deputy Tahsildar Satyanarayana of Garidepally Tahsildar's office red-handedly while taking bribe from a farmer, Lingaiah via a private employee in connection with the issue of pahanies.

According to sources, the revenue staff of the Tahsildar's office by taking money changed the name of Karingula Lingaiah with another person in records of Kutubullahpur village of Garidepally mandal in the district.

Lingaiah, who got the land in survey number 399 as hereditary asset, migrated to Burugugadda village of Huzurnagar mandal for livelihood.

He had given his land to lease to a farmer Gudagantla Venkaiah for seven years and kept land idle for the last two years.

He came to know that few persons of Kutubullapur village replaced his name by them in land records.

In this connection, he approached the DT Satyanaryana for justice, who in return demanded a bribe of Rs 20,000 to restore his name in the records.
