GHMC mulls permanent solution to overflowing

Bowenpally: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials are seriously mulling over a permanent solution to the never-ending issue of overflowing drains in several areas of Bowenpally.

GHMC Deputy Commissioner (Kukatpally) V Prasanthi inspected the internal streets of Bowenpally on Friday. "We have been trying to control the overflow of drains for years in several colonies of 119 division in Kukatpally. In Hasmat area, the problem has become severe for a year. In terms of providing a sigh of relief to the people from the all-time overflowing drains, we will be working on to provide a permanent solution," she said.

The official directed the staff to prepare a layout of new pipeline structure and necessary presentations to untangle the year-old drain issue. She suggested that they investigate the issue before planning for resolutions and she mentioned clearly that she needs a permanent solution for the frequently raising issue.

Later, she inspected the theme park at Asbestos colony, open drains in Bowenpally and model market at Papireddy Nagar.
