Girls gift helmet for safe journey in Nizamabad
Nizamabad: Continuing former MP K Kavitha's concept 'Sisters For Change – Gift A Helmet', Telangana Jagruthi leaders organised a programme where the girls presented helmets as gifts to the boys aftertying rakhi. The programme was held at Career Degree College here on Thursday.
Former MP K Kavitha had launched an innovative concept 'Sisters for change-Gift a helmet' to promote wearing helmets among people riding two-wheelers and requested all sisters to gift helmet to their brothers on Raksha Bandhan festival.She even started online campaign two years ago.
Telangana Jagruthi State leader Narala Sudhakar said they have been conducting this programme for the past two years, following their leader Kavitha. He explained the importance of wearing helmet to the students. It is very sad that many people died even in minor accidents for not wearing helmets and also many others had survived major accidents as they had worn helmets, he stated.
Sudhakar had appealed all, who ride two wheelers, to wear helmets compulsorily to save their precious life.Telangana Jagruthi leaders Kuldeep, Gopal, Sai, Vicky, K Shankar, College Principal Balakrishna, Rajendra Prasad and others were also present at the programme.
