Girls outshine boys in TS POLYCET-2019
Hyderabad: The State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET) announced the Telangana Polytechnic Common Entrance Test-2019 (POLYCET-2019) on Friday. A total of 92.53 per cent candidates cleared the test.
Announcing the results State Technical Education Commissioner Naveen Mittal said Mankala Srujana, who hailed from Siddipet district, secured the State first rank, followed by Aruri Satwik, who came from from Suryapet district, the second rank.
Counselling for the admissions will start in the first week of May and the classes will commence from the first week of June, he added. The Commissioner said that 1, 06,295 candidates applied for the test and 1, 03,587 appeared for the common admission test.
Out of the total number of candidates appeared in the examination, 95,850 qualified, registering the total pass percentage of 92.53, he said.
Out of this, the pass percentage of boys who cleared the test is 90.94 per cent as against the pass percentage of 94.86 per cent registered by the girls.
The POLYCET-2019 was held on April 16 at different centres in the State.
