Girls told to be brave like Jhansi Lakshmi Bai: Karimnagar Joint Collector GV Shyam Prasad Lal
Karimnagar: Girl students must take queen of Jhansi Rani Lakshmi Bai as their role model and must reach greater heights in their life, advised Joint Collector GV Shyam Prasad Lal.
He was the chief guest at the birth anniversary celebrations of Rani Lakshmi Bai by the representatives of Telangana Yuvajan Samiti at Sahasra Girls Junior College in Mankammathota in Karimnagar on Tuesday.
JC Shyam Prasad Lal told the students not to be constrained to studies only and suggested to explore all fields, taking queen of Jhansi Rani Lakshmi Bai as a role model, who bravely fought in the war without caring for her life and showed her skills as a great warrior.
Forest Deputy Range Officer Gadapa Padma said that girl students and women in the society must inculcate patriotism among them taking Jhansi Lakshmi Bai as inspiration. Women must not get themselves restricted to kitchen rooms, they must use their talent and excel in all sectors.
Later, Joint Collector Shyam Prasad Lal and the association members felicitated Forest Deputy Range Officer Gadapa Padma, Minority College Principal P Swapna and assistant professor of Chelmeda Anand Rao Medical College Dr Preethi and handed over the prizes to girl students, who won in essay writing competition organised on the occasion. Association members Ch Hari Shankar, S Srinivas A Sadanandam, Jithendar Rao and college principal Ram Chandra Reddy were present along with others.
