Gold worth Rs 35 lakh biscuits seized at Hyderabad airport

Hyderabad: The Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) of the Customs department on Saturday seized gold weighing 915 grams worth Rs 35.5 lakh from three passengers at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) here on Sunday.

The sleuths booked 3 cases against three passengers, who arrived from SG 034 flight from Jeddah. On suspicion, the AIU officials checked their baggage and found gold.

The passengers could not disclose the details and the showed documents pertaining to gold. By seizing the gold biscuits, AIU officials are investigating the case.
