Warangal: Minister for Panchayat Raj Errabelli Dayakar Rao said that farmers are all set for a bumper yield this season. He was referring to the abundant rainfall this monsoon.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has made elaborate arrangements for procuring entire produce from the cultivators besides ensuring them minimum support price (MSP), the Minister said.

Stating that no previous government had ever done it, the Minister said that the Chief Minister made Rs 13,000 crore allocation for purchasing paddy. He said that even though it was imminent, the Central government is yet to commence cotton procurement through Cotton Corporation of India (CCI).

"Both KLIP and the Mission Bhagiratha, flagship programme of the Telangana government to provide safe drinking water to all the households, have come in for praise by the Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.

Further, the Union Minister had said that the Centre would examine the possibility of replicating Mission Bhagiratha," Errabelli said.

He said that Telangana has become a beacon for other States in the country by implementing many welfare and development programmes.

He told the farmers to bring the paddy to the procurement centres only after drying it. as high moisture content would not command good price.
