Government fails to implement the Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bheema scheme in the district: CPM
Khammam: The State government has failed to implement the Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bheema and other schemes for farmers, said CPM district secretary, and Rythu Sangam state assistant secretary Nunna Nageswara Rao while addressing the media persons in the city on Monday.
He informed that even after the Kharif season was over the RBS amount were not deposited into the farmers accounts so far in the district. He said, nearly 40% of RBS cheques are still pending with the government. He said due to lack of pass books, farmers are facing many problems in the district. He demanded the government to give new pass books to the farmers immediately. The affected made several visits to revenue offices seeking new pass books but officials did not respond on the issue, he added.
Therefore, he said, to highlight the farmers' issues the party will take out a huge rally in Khammam city on December 10. He appealed to the party leaders and farmers to participate and make the rally a grand success.
