Government trying to divert Hajipur issue: VH
Hyderabad: All India Congress Committee (AICC) secretary V Hanumantha Rao on Saturday criticised the State government and said that it has been trying to divert the Hajipur issue and not putting up efforts to find a solution.
Addressing the media, after meeting the Hajipur victims' parents, he said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao did not have time to see the families of the victims of Hajipur.
He said that no decision has been taken on the demands for paying ex gratia of Rs 50 lakh to the families of the victims, construct a bridge for the village and providing public transport facility.
He said that though he and Police Commissioner of Rachakonda have provided financial relief to the families, the government has not come forward for the same.
He criticised that the Governor is fit to be a priest at the Tirumala temple. He alleged that the Governor has been sending all the pleas of the Congress to dustbin.
Hanumantha Rao said that they would continue their stir till the Ambedkar statue is installed at Panjagutta.
He said that the Chief Minister's arrogance has reached the peak.
