Governor ESL Narasimhan sets a new record

With the swearing-in ceremony of YSRCP chief YS Jagan as chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governor ESL Narasimhan set a new record on Thursday. He became the first governor in the country to administer the oath of office to five governments.

Narasimhan has administered the oath of office to Kiran Kumar Reddy before bifurcation of the state in 2010, to K Chandrasekhar Rao in 2014 and 2018, N Chandrababu Naidu in 2014 and YS Jagan in 2019.

A total of five governments have formed during his nine years tenure.
