Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan greets Telugus on Ugadi

Hyderabad: Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan on Tuesday extended greetings to the people of Telangana on the occasion of Ugadi.

"On this happy and auspicious occasion of Sri Sarvari Naama Samvatsara Ugadi, the Telugu New Year Day, I extend my heartiest greetings to the people of Telangana and to all the Telugu people living elsewhere in the world.

Ugadi is a festival of joy and hope and the New Year shall bring with it new cheer and a bright future," the Governor said in her greetings.

The Governor said she is confident that the new year will usher in peace, prosperity, harmony and happiness to all people and sections of society.

It will also reinforce the courage in the people in fighting pandemic novel coronavirus and emerge victorious.

"We shall pledge in this new year that we, our family members, our relatives, and our friends shall stay healthy by strictly complying with the directives issued by the Government from time to time," she said in a statement.
