Govt doctors protest against National Medical Commission Bill in Nizamabad
Nizamabad / Kamareddy: Medical services were affected in government hospitals in districts as doctors boycotted duties against the passage of National Medical Commission in Parliament.
Doctors protested in front of Nizamabad Government Hospital on Wednesday opposing the National Medical Bill.
They demanded amendments to the bill passed in the Lok Sabha. ZP chairman and chairman of the hospital development committee Vithal Rao declared solidarity with the protesting doctors. Vithal Rao said he would support doctors' struggles. Hospital Deputy Superintendent Pratima, Government Doctors Association State secretaryVishal , Kiran, members Harish ,Kumaraswamy, Medical faculty lecturers, Sunil, Nageshwarrao Kiran Rao and others participated in the protest.
Addressing the protesters, Telangana Government Doctors' Association's district unit president Gopal Singh and secretary Jalagam Tirupati Rao said that the National Medical Commission will endanger the existing medical system in the country.
Doctors in Kamareddy boycotted duties and protested.The doctors only attended to the emergency cases. The doctors staged dharnas and took out a protest rally inside the hospital premises. Kamareddy Hospital Superintendent Dr Ajoykumar, ISReddy Dr Mahesh,Dr. Srikanth, Dr. Srinivas Dr.Praveen Goud, Dr.Kirangoud DeviSrinivasand others participated in the protest.
