Update: 2019-05-02 01:54 IST

Karimnagar: While the parents are taking all pains to get their children best education by admitting them in corporate colleges and by investing huge money for their bright future, the government on the other hand, is killing the innocent students with its negligence, BJP election in-charge Gujjula Premendar Reddy alleged.

Addressing a press meet at BJP party office in Karimnagar on Wednesday, Reddy came heavily on the TRS and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

He showered several questions on the TRS government like - Who is responsible for deaths of more than 23 Intermediate students? Why the government is not serious over the irregularities that took place in Inter results? Why it is not taking any action against the Globarena Company, which was hired to do data and result processing, and the officials of Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) even after the committee members submitted the report to the government?

Premender Reddy said that due to the negligence of the TRS government, many students are still committing suicide and the government is in no mood to prevent them by building confidence among the Inter students. Instead it is trying to suppress the voice of students and Opposition parties using its political and police power, he criticised.

But the BJP will not sit quiet, he stated and added "We will fight for the sake of Inter students. BJP Telangana State president Laxman is on indefinite hunger strike and in support of the cause, BJP leaders and its affiliation unions have intensified the movement and will continue until justice is done to Intermediate students".

The government must order an enquiry on Globarena Company Private Limited and must take stringent action against all those, who were responsible for the irregularities in Inter results. He also demanded suspension of Education Minister and Inter Board officials involved in the scam.

The BJP leader further said that his party is giving a bandh call on May 2 to exert pressure on the State government to necessitate action against the culprits. He appealed all sections of people, people's organisations and students' unions to support the bandh keeping in view of students' future.

BJP leadees K Murali Krishna, Sujatha Reddy, G Swapna, Mahendar Reddy, D Srinivas, B Naresh, B Ramana Reddy, K Lokesh, D Sampath, M Kiran, Abhi, Arun, Mallesham were present along with others.
