Govt not averse to judicial panel to resolve crisis
Hyderabad : Hours after the Telangana High Court announced the constitution of a three-member judicial committee with retired Supreme Court Judges to resolve the RTC crisis, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Tuesday evening held a high-level meeting, attended by Chief Secretary SK Joshi, RTC management and legal experts, and discussed the issue of the proposed panel threadbare.
The Chief Minister asked Advocate General BS Prasad to explain the state government's reservations in dealing with the RTC issue with the intervention of the judicial committee.
Official sources said the government was not opposed to the High Court decision to form a committee to resolve the issue.
The government would abide by the court decision if the modalities are framed to discharge the committee and make it clear that the issues raised by the government are also taken into consideration by the judicial body.
