'Guv's praise of Kaleshwaram reveals TRS, BJP secret pact'

Hyderabad: Congress MP A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday alleged that both the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party and Opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had a secret pact in the State and Governor's fresh statements are an indication.

He said statement of the newly-appointed Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan hailing the Kaleswaram lift irrigation project was a classic example to this effect.

He also sought to know from the Bharatiya Janata Party State president K Laxman if the information pertaining to the Kaleswaram project was provided by them to the Governor or was it provided by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

Pointing out that the State unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party had always termed the Kaleswaram lift irrigation project as full of corruption, he felt Bharatiya Janata Party should have lodged a complaint with the Central government over the liberal praise of the State government by the newly appointed Governor.

Revanth made it clear that Congress would continue to fight on the issue of corruption by the State government and added that they would also meet the Governor and submit all evidences of corruption in the Kaleswaram project and Power Purchase Agreements.
