Hanamkonda: 782 youth get jobs in Job Mela

Hanamkonda: The Arts College Auditorium on Friday was abuzz with a large number of unemployed youth aspiring for jobs with the Warangal Police Commissionerate organising a job mela.

Inaugurating the job mela, Commissioner of Police V Ravinder said that their aim was to provide employment opportunities to the youth so that they can lead a peaceful life.

"Since the formation, the police department has witnessed a revolutionary change, especially in regard with its people's friendly policing.

The focus of the police was not just on providing friendly policing and maintaining law and order, but the department also came up with some programmes for the societal good," he said, referring to the Sumarg, a free coaching programme to prepare youth appearing for the competitive exams, Haritha Haram etc.

He said that positive persistence is the key when it comes to overcoming setbacks. Hard work always pays off and the youth shouldn't be disheartened by failures, he added.

"Pinnacle of success is not far away when the youth determine to achieve," Ravinder said, quoting Dr APJ Abdul Kalam's – "Finding an aim in life before you are twenty years old; Acquire knowledge continuously to reach this goal; Work hard and persevere so you can defeat all the problems and succeed."

Later, the Commissioner interacted with the youth and the representatives of recruiting companies such as banking, pharmacy, software, marketing etc. namely - ICICI, Tata Motors, GVK, Cognizant, LG, local real estate etc.

The Commissioner said that more than 2,000 youth turned to the job mela, of which 782 have got jobs in various companies.
