Hanamkonda man run over by train in US

A software engineer from Hanamkonda of erstwhile Warangal district was killed after being run over by a train near a railway station at Edison in New Jersey on Tuesday. The victim was identified as Praveen Desini, a resident of Jersey city of New Jersey.

It is yet to be learned as to how Praveen was struck down by the train. The incident took place at 7.20 am on December 22 when the Northeast Corridor train 3920 that departed Trenton at 6.47 am run over the man near Edison station. Praveen was on his way to the office in New York from Edison.

The body of the victim was kept at the Middlesex Regional Medical Examiner in New Jersey. It is learned that Praveen was the youngest of three siblings. More details of the incident are awaited.

Earlier this week, a man from Tappachabutra in the city was killed in a road accident in Chicago. Mohammad Moizuddin (35) had gone to the US in 2015 to pursue higher studies and joined as a part-time worker in Uber cab services.
