Harish inspects paddy purchases at Gongulur

Pulkal: Minister Harish Rao paid a surprise visit to the paddy procurement centre at Gongulur on Friday. He was surprised to see the board displaying that farmers should bring thread to sew bags.

"This is the first time I am experiencing this. Do not ask them for threads. Markets should provide them," the minister said. He directed the officials to deposit the dues of hamalis in their accounts. Harish instructed Collector M Hanumantha Rao to take steps to facilitate smooth functioning of markets for the farmers in the district.
