Harish to attend finance ministers meeting in Delhi on Nov 28

Hyderabad : Telangana government will make a presentation on the financial challenges being faced by the State both on account of non release of funds due from Centre as State's share from GST, centrally sponsored schemes and economic recession at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the empowered committee of state finance ministers to be held on November 28.

The meeting will be chaired by the committee chairman and West Bengal Finance Minister Amit Mitra. The one-day meeting to ascertain the financial challenges being faced by the States to enforce the welfare and developmental programmes are likely to be discussed.

The minister has already written a letter to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman urging her to the release of Rs 2,812 crore owed to the Telangana State.

Harish will also present a report on the revenue growth registered by Telangana despite the economic slowdown witnessed by the country this year.
