Haritha Haram: 1.41 crore saplings to plant in Bhadradri

3.31 lakh saplings to be planted in Visakhapatnam district

Kothagudem: The target of Telangana ku Haritha Haram programme, scheduled to be taken up across the State from June 20, is to plant about 1,41,60,099 saplings, informed District Collector Dr MV Reddy. He gave the details of the plantation drive at a press meet here on Monday.

According to the Collector, 8,41,000 saplings in Kothagudem; 7,50,000 saplings in Yellandhu; 12,40,000 in Palvoncha; 10,25,000 in Manuguru; 10,85,000 in Bhadrachalam; and 5,42,571 in Kinnerasani. District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) has set to plant 62,13,000 saplings, Horticulture 5,50,000, Singareni 10,22,400 and TSFDC 8,91,128 saplings. Collector Reddy appealed to all departments to participate in the programme and make it success.

He ordered all MPDOs and municipal officers to complete digging works for the plantation programme and to set tree guards for protecting plants. He also ordered agricultural officer to plant saplings near Rythu vedikalu in the district.
