HC issues notice to Telangana assembly speaker for merging CLP into TRS

The Telangana High Court on Wednesday issued notice to assembly speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy for merging CLP into TRSLP.

Responding to the petitions filed by TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy and CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka, the court also served notices to assembly secretary, election commission and the 12 MLAs.

It may be recalled that 12 Congress MLAs had met the speaker last week and submitted a memorandum requesting to merge them into TRS.

Considering their plea, the speaker merged the 12 MLAs into TRS.

Meanwhile, the Congress leader Bhatti Vikramarka staged a hunger strike at Indira Park protesting against the merge. However, he later withdrew the strike at NIMS hospital after on the request of Congress leaders.
