Health minister Eatala Rajender objects to JP Nadda's remarks on coronavirus in Telangana

Telangana health minister Eatala Rajender objected to JP Nadda remarks on the rise in the number of coronavirus cases in Telangana and further questioned the coronavirus situation in BJP-ruled states.

He questioned Nadda as to why the BJP government failed to control coronavirus in the national capital and BJP-ruled states -- Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and other states. The minister said that the Telangana government is taking all the measures to contain the virus in the state.

Speaking to media, Eatala pointed out the Markaz incident and said that centre has no idea of coronavirus getting spread at Markaz, that is near to the parliament. "It was the Telangana government which alerted the entire nation over the Tabliqi Jamaat meet in Markaz from where the virus was spread to other states," the minister said.

The minister also reminded that the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was among the few leaders who supported the concept of clapping and lighting lamps for healthcare workers brought up by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Further, he said that the comments of JP Nadda against the Telangana government are an attempt to create disharmony when there is a cordial relationship between the state Chief Minister and PM Modi.

"Even during the video conferences between the Prime Minister and chief minister of all the states, KCR was the only lone voice for unity," he said adding that the country's ultimate aim is to emerge victorious over coronavirus.
