Heavy rains lash Hyderabad, roads inundated

Heavy rains lashed several parts of the city on Sunday leaving the roads flooded with rain water and causing traffic snarls.

Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, Lakdikapool and Panjagutta witnessed heavy downpour. The rains will continue to lash the city for the next 24 hours due to the rapid acceleration of South West monsoon winds, according to the Indian Meteorological Department.

Meanwhile, the GHMC officials has alerted the people residing in the low-lying areas. They asked the people to take precautionary measures.
