Heavy traffic jams at toll gates on Vijayawada Highway, voters are demanding cancellation of toll fares

Heavy traffic jam occurring at Panthangi Toll Plaza on Vijayawada National highway on Wednesday morning. Since the Andhra Pradesh voters who are residing in Greater Hyderabad and other places in Telangana are travelling to their native places to vote on April 11, cars are staying in queue for Kilometers long. As the private travels bus managements hiked the fares, majority of the AP voters are travelling in own and private cars.

As the large number cars came on to the roads in morning hours to escape from the high temperatures, heavy traffic jams are occurring at toll gates. Since the toll gates management did not take any steps to maintain the traffic, the car owners are waiting for hours to cross the toll gates after paying the fares.

Many of the passengers are agitating at the toll gates and demanding toll free journey so that they can move faster rather than waiting for hours at the toll gates.
