High Tension lines over town slammed by TS JAC

Parigi: Members of the TS Political JAC have demanded immediate removal of high-tension powerlines in the town and extension of financial assistance to the families of a boy who was electrocuted and another boy who sustained serious injuries.

They submitted a memorandum regarding this to tahasildar. District chairman of the JAC Mukunda Nageshwar said officials did not care though rules did not allow them to lay high-tension powerlines through the town.

He demanded an ex-gratia of Rs 30 lakh to the deceased boy and financial aid to the boy under treatment. CPI leaders Peer Mohammed, Venkataiah, Anjaiah, Sangappa, Mogulaiah, Narayana Reddy, Srikanth and others were present.
