Hindu outfits to complain to new Governor Soundararajan

Hyderabad: In what could pose a major embarrassment to the State government, the Governor-designate Tamilisai Soundararajan, who is to sworn in on September 8, is likely to receive the first representation seeking her intervention on the Yadadri temple issue.

Several Hindu organisations, including the Viswa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and State BJP, have sought time of the newly- appointed governor on Monday or Tuesday.

Speaking to The Hans India, a senior BJP leader said the reports showing faces of KCR, former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru, Car poll symbol of the TRS party, emblems of the State government and Telanganaku Haritha Haram, a government green initiative, etc did not go down well with the people across the State.

Several civil society and Hindu organisations are contemplating launching a State-wide agitation to force the State government to remove the stone pillars engraved with non-Hind symbols.
