Hoardings, posters at public places to go
Medchal: Collector of Medchal-Malkajgiri district MV Reddy on Monday directed officials to make all arrangements for the successful conduct of the Lok Sabha elections slated for April 11.
At a review meeting he directed officials to remove posters, advertisements, banners on welfare schemes and party flags from bus stands, railway stations, public places, as also calendars with photos of people's representatives and ministers.
The DC advised the DMHO to conduct awareness programmes on steps to be taken against hot weather for the benefit of the Anganwadi centres, daily wage workers and to ensure protection of government/sikham lands from occupation.
MV Reddy wanted all those who completed 18 years to be registered as voters. Those present at the meeting included DRO Madhukar Reddy, district-level officials.
