How can BJP claim to be a national party?
Hyderabad: TRS working president K T Rama Rao on Monday asked the BJP leaders as to how they can claim their party being a national party when it cannot win even ten seats in entire South India.
He was addressing the party workers at programme held at Telangana Bhavan where Congress leader Sunitha Lakshma Reddy joined the pink party. Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) senior leader T Harish Rao was also there.
KTR said that the BJP leaders who can't even win 10 seats in south India were talking big in Telangana. Instead of telling what the BJP has done for Telangana, the Prime Minister has limited himself to criticising Chief Minister KCR, said KTR.
He said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would get 160 to 170 in the country and Congress may not cross 100 seats and if TRS wins 16 seats, it can dictate terms in Delhi.
If there is pro-Telangana government in Delhi, the State can get as many projects as desired. The BJP and Congress would do nothing for the State, he said.
The TRS working president gave credit to Harish Rao for ensuring victory of TRS in nine seats in Medak district.
"In the coming elections Medak is likely to get highest majority and so is Karimnagar. If you get more majority in Medak, give some credit to me as (for bringing Sunitha Laxma Reddy into TRS)," said KTR.
Harish Rao said, now people in Telangana should forget the slogan of 'Jai Congress'. The leaders in Congress party are coming out as they are losing confidence in their leadership.
Telangana is a role model for the country and the schemes of the State are inspiration to others, he said.
Harish Rao said that the TRS leaders are competition to themselves as there is no other party in Telangana than the TRS.
Both the national parties cannot win a single seat in Telangana. It would be great for them to save deposits in a couple of seats, he said.
