Hrithik, fitness centre directors get relief in Telangana HC in cheating case
Actor and brand ambassador of Culfit fitness Hrithik Roshan was granted a relief along with the fitness centre directors in a cheating case filed against them at KPHB police station on June 22.
Hrithik and the directors on Tuesday filed a petition in the High Court to quash the FIR. Justice Ghandikota Sri Devi who was dealing with the plea gave the directions to the police not to take any coercive steps against them.
The FIR was filed against them after the complainant Ineni Shashikanth alleged that the gym had failed to keep its promise of holding daily workout sessions.
However, a senior counsel who represented the petitioners told the court that the complainant had named Hrithik Roshan as an accused in the cheating but the actor was in no way concerned with the daily activities of the fitness centre as he is just a brand ambassador.
Hearing the arguments, the court directed Kukatpally police not to take any coercive steps against the actor and directors. Further, it asked the police to file a counter within four weeks.
