Hyderabad: 120 tolas of gold, Rs 10 lakh cash burgled from flat

Around 120 tolas of gold and Rs 10 lakh cash were burgled from a flat in an apartment at Venkataramana Colony in Old Alwal. The residents were at Miryalaguda when the theft took place.

According to the Alwal inspector M Mattaiah, the burglars broke into the house on Friday night when it was raining heavily. The watchman was also not aware of the theft as he slept in his room due to the rain. However, Deepthi (38) rushed her home on learning the theft and found that the main door lock was broken. Deepthi has gone to her parents home in Miryalaguda along with her two kids for summer vacation.

Based on the complaint filed by Deepthi, the police formed four teams to nab the burglars.
