Hyderabad: 19 coronavirus suspected cases found at RGI airport
As many as 19 passengers suspecting to be infected by coronavirus have been found after screening at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) on Saturday. The patients were kept in the isolation ward.
According to the reports, around 4,656 passengers were screen at the airport on March 7 and the 19 suspected cases were sent to Gandhi Hospital. It is learned that five patients out of 19 have been tested negative and the results of the remaining people are awaited.
The government has been taking measures to prevent the spread of the virus, said Dr Srinivas, director, Public Health and Family Welfare.
On Saturday, Health Minister Eatala Rajender visited Gandhi Hospital for inspection and also met 24-year-old techie who was tested positive for the virus. The minister said that the condition of the techie is stable and is being closely monitored by the staff.
