Hyderabad: 216 people sent to jail in drunk driving

Around 216 people were sentenced to varying periods of imprisonment by third and fourth metropolitan sessions court, Nampally for driving under the influence of alcohol. The court also cancelled the driving licences of three permanently.

The people sentenced to jail were among the 1304 caught in drunk driving in Hyderabad by the Traffic police last month. Besides, imposing the punishment, the court also laid fine of Rs 28,84,800 on the violators.
