Hyderabad: 42nd Healthcare Innovation Summit held in Jubilee Hills

Jubilee Hills: The 42nd Healthcare Innovation Summit saw a confluence of healthcare leaders, policymakers, international experts, industry veterans, and hospital decision-makers in the city on Friday. It was supported by Department of Science & Technology, Government of India and partnered by Access Health International, DaytoDay, Advanced Sterilization Products (ASP), Apollo Telehealth, and Salucro Healthcare Solution.

The objective of the summit was to leverage digital technologies, improve knowledge, skills and resources, and create channels for collaboration and consensus among key stakeholders. The theme of the summit was 'Innovation in healthcare', a game changer in enriching healthcare experience to people at large.

Other important topics, on which experts threw light included 'Role of Public Private Partnership for Developing Healthcare Infrastructure', 'Role of Emerging Technology for Building Smart Hospital', 'Healthcare in Today's Digital India: The Road Ahead', and 'Ensuring Patient Safety, Satisfaction and Affordability'.

Policymakers and experts who graced the occasion included Ajay Mishra, Special Chief Secretary, Government of Telangana; Dr Anuradha Medoju, Senior Regional Director (Health & Family Welfare), Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States, and K Rajasekhar, State Informatics Officer, National Informatics Centre.

The health experts deliberated on various issues influencing the healthcare sector. The exercise chalked out ways to leverage latest innovative practices to augment healthcare delivery process. Delivering keynote address Ajay Misra, touched upon various glaring issues of the Indian healthcare sector. "Patient billing is a big challenge."

The onus is on healthcare provider to make it hassle-free convenient process, he said. "The Government of India and States are focusing on health as a priority sector. Infrastructure is key to provide accessible healthcare to the masses," Medoju said, underlining the importance of Make of India equipment, and awareness programmes.
