Hyderabad: 5-year-old boy succumbs to burn injuries

Hyderabad: A 5-year-old boy who was undergoing treatment at Osmania General Hospital (OGH) died on Sunday.

The boy who attended a house warming function four days ago with his parents in Ibrahimpatnam sustained severe burn injuries when a dish containing hot curry (Sambar) fell on him accidentally.

According to police, the boy was then immediately rushed to OGH where he was undergoing treatment. But he had received 80% burn and succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.

The boy and his parents were residents of Saidabad who visited their relatives' house warming function four days ago.

A case under section 174 Cr.P.C has been registered and the body has been sent to post mortem. Further investigation is in progress.
