Hyderabad: 9 nCoV samples taken on Saturday
Hyderabad: Gandhi Hospital on Saturday took out samples of 9 suspected cases with recent travel history to China. They were kept under isolation. Meanwhile, the results of five samples that were taken on Friday came out negative.
Of the nine suspected cases, the result of one of them was clear from the deadly virus and reports of others are awaited.
Meanwhile, Health department has written to all 33 district collectors in Telangana on district-level arrangements and guidelines.
Collectors were told to establish district level nCoV monitoring and prevention cell and a control room (call centre) that would be operational 24 X 7 with a dedicated landline and mobile number. Also, instructions were given to establish isolation wards with 25 beds in case of teaching hospitals.
District health wings have been told to keep adequate stocks of protective gear and necessary medicines. Collectors have been told to hold workshops for health staff, awareness camps for public and also keep training materials ready.
