Hyderabad: Anti-CAA resolution by GHMC a juvenile act: BJP

Hyderabad: Telangana State BJP stated that the passage of the resolution against CAA by the GHMC council has exposed its intellectual and political bankruptcy.

In a statement on Monday, Telangana State BJP chief spokesperson K Krishna Saagar Rao said: "GHMC Mayor and his deputy have made a fool of themselves along with all other TRS and AIMIM members who voted for it."

He said, "passing a resolution against a national law at the local body level and more so when it has nothing to do with neither the city nor its administration is quite juvenile." Krishna Saagar Rao said, "CAA is literally has no impact on neither at GHMC level nor anywhere in Telangana State.

Also, NRC is a figment of the imagination of moronic minority appeasers. There exists neither a bill nor a law regarding the national NRC so far." Only GHMC Mayor and his deputy should explain how one can pass a resolution against a national law which is non-existent, he questioned.

Further, he charged the Mayor and the Deputy Mayor were in a mad rush to please their bosses doing the unthinkable. Thus, "they have become the first local body in the entire country to pass this type of a resolution to make themselves a laughing stock," he added.

The BJP leader said that his party extends its sympathies to such juveniles in GHMC from TRS and AIMIM, who are not just feeding lies and misleading common people on CAA, but also indulging in silly misadventures for electoral appeasement.
