Hyderabad: Arekapudi Gandhi urges massive plantation on KCR birthday
Serilingampally: Local MLA Arekapudi Gandhi on Sunday held a meeting in connection with taking up tree plantation programme on Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's birthday celebrations on February 17. Addressing the meeting, Gandhi advised people to get inspired by KCR's message by planting 10,000 for removing one. He said tree plantation was necessary keeping in view of future in for providing shelter and fruits.
The legislator urged people to respond to the call by TRS Working President K Tarakarama Ra on to take up large scale plantation of sapling in Serilingampally constituency. He said KCR's photograph along with those who plant trees, with details, should displayed and the sapling saved till his birthday next year.
Gandhi advised the ruling party activists to comply with KTR's orders on tree plantation. He also advised the activists not to spend money on flexis and announcements, but contribute amounts through cheques to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.
Corporators, people's representatives , TRS party leaders and activists, residents, representatives of welfare organisations, nature lovers, besides Town Development Deputy Director Neeraja Gandhi, Horticulture Manager Hema were present.
