Hyderabad: When you are passionate about doing something, no matter what comes in between you will try your best to achieve it. Uday Kumar Reddy, 25, is one amongst them. He had met with an accident a few months back while providing service to the needy. Uday along with his twin brother Manoj Reddy started an NGO named 'Sri Rajamatha Foundation' (SRF) in 2012.

Speaking to The Hans India, Uday Kumar Reddy, founder of SRF, said, "Around 6 months back, while my brother and I along with other volunteers were working, a speeding car hit me. After this accident, I have been on bed for the past six months and my brother is managing the service along with other volunteers."

Since the lockdown, the NGO has distributed free dry ration to more than 12,800 families and conducted 6 blood donation camps where more than 420 donors donated their blood for Thalassemia patients. They have also distributed more than 150 sanitary napkins to the young girls , who cannot afford them during the lockdown.

Since the start of the NGO, they fed more than 6 lakh meals to the needy across the city. The services that they carry out are posted on social media platform every day. The funds are raised through crowd-funding.
