Hyderabad: Bio-diversity flyover likely to be completed by May
Biodiversity Junction: The bio-diversity flyover starting from DCP office to Shah Ghouse Restaurant (beginning of Manikonda) via Bio-diversity Junction would be thrown open to public by May, according to GHMC officials. Around 70% construction works of the first-level flyover works have been completed and the corporation has set a target to complete the construction of flyover by May.
"GHMC is constructing a first level flyover from Gachibowli towards Mehidipatnam via Bio-diversity. 70 per cent of construction is completed and expecting to complete the project by the end of May 2020," said Venkat Ramana, Project Superintendent, GHMC.
The flyover is being constructed with an estimated budget of Rs 1,964.63 lakh which commenced in April 2019 set to ease the traffic on the major stretch in five months. The three lane unidirectional flyover has a length of 690m and the width of 11.50m will create a conflict free movement for the traffic commuting from DCP office (end of Gachibowli) to Shaghouse Restaurant (beginning of Manikonda) via Bio-diversity Junction.
Currently, 14 Pier footings (Pillar foundations of P2, P3, P4, P5, P6, P7, P8, P9, P10, P11, P12, P14, P15, A2) out of 17 are completed and three more to be constructed along with 14 Piers out of 17 are completed (P2 to P12, P14, and P15 &A2). 14 Pier caps ( P2, P3, P4 to P12, P14, P15 & A2) out of 17 are cast and erection of 40 PSC Girders out of 64 completed. Casting of Deck slab P4 to P12 is already completed.
