Hyderabad: BJP leaders take up bastibata programme in Serilingampally
Serilingampally: Several State BJP leaders on Sunday accused the ruling TRS of creating a 'tamasha' without striving to solve problems of people. They were speaking during a 'bastibata' programme in Indranagar locality, of Chandanagar division.
Party leaders Kasireddy Bhaskar Reddy, Jnanendra Prasad, State Executive Committee member, Serilingampally Assembly constituency convener Poreddu Butchi Reddy, were told of local problems like underground drainage, water shortage, incomplete roads, piled up garbage, lack of sanitation.
The leaders stated that because of lack of underground drainage, the drinking water was getting contaminated by sewerage, causing hardship to local residents. They accused the TRS leadership of only talking about ushering in 'Bangaru Telangana', but failing to solve local issues. As a result, they pointed out, the problems remained for years. The ruling party and officials confined themselves to only laying foundation stones and failing to take up any development works.
The BJP leaders wanted the TRS public representatives and officials to at least now react to people's problems and take remedial steps to solve them.
Among those who accompanied the leaders were BJP activists Raj Shekhar, Narayan Reddy, Rakesh Dube, Yuva Morcha convener Jithender, Srinivas,Varma, Venugopal, Srivani, Lata, Nisha, Lalitha, Uma, Ramanath, Amar Singh, Srinivas, Ramakrishna.
