Hyderabad: Mounting attack on Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao, BJP Telangana leaders on Tuesday condemned him for the language he used against the Centre and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Addressing media here on Tuesday, Former State BJP president Dr K Laxman demanded the State Finance Minister T Harish Rao come out with a White Paper on the credit availed by the State under FRBM along with the expenditure details.

Taking a dig at CM KCR he said that the Centre cannot mint helicopter money to fill the pocket of the TRS chief. "The TRS government has left the State in a debt trap due to lack of fiscal discipline and wasteful expenditure and corruption to fill the coffers of contractors," he said.

Laxman said that the outburst of TRS chief could be understood as the economic package announced by the Centre would benefit people and will not fill his pockets. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with Chief Ministers for five times, besides opposition leaders, experts and others to take them into confidence in country's fight against Covid. Contrary to this, the TRS chief is acting unilaterally like a dictator threatening farmers imposing conditions for extending Rythu Bandhu scheme, he said.

Former MP and BJP senior leader Vivek Venkataswamy demanded a CBI or vigilance inquiry into the expenditure of the TRS government on the irrigation projects like Kaleshwaram. He said that the Chief Minister has remained a mute spectator even when the Andhra Pradesh Cheif Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy announced to draw water from Krishna six months ago. Alleging that there is a match-fixing between both the Chief Ministers to fill the coffers of the Andhra contractors, he alleged KCR is more concerned about the benefits of his own family than the people of the State.

Former MLC and BJP leader Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy demanded the Chief Minister to take back his statements against the Centre and the Prime Minister. Stating that the intemperate language is not acceptable in a democratic system, he demanded an apology from the TRS chief. He said that the BJP will continue to fight until the AP withdraws its order to divert water from the Pothireddypadu head regulator, which will turn the South Telangana into a desert.
