Hyderabad: BJP State chief Sanjay Kumar challenges TRS to be prepared for a fight
Hyderabad: Setting agenda for his dealing with the ruling party in the next three years, the newly appointed Telangana BJP State chief and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar said his party would wage ideological battle with the State government.
Mounting a vitriolic attack on the TRS and AIMIM, while addressing a public meeting held at the State party office here on Sunday, he challenged the TRS and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to be prepared for a fight. He said the BJP only can take the fight to the TRS-AIMIM camp.
Sanjay Kumar said "We won't forget screams of those mothers holding their children to their hearts. We will not forget, the young men running through the Bhainsa streets, pleading with those who went on the rampage to spare their children's lives.|"
He claimed he would not take shortcuts but wage an uncompromising fight with the TRS.
He exhorted the party leaders and activists not to be deterred by obstacles likely to be created by the ruling party. He promised to stand by the party cadre.
Taking a dig at KCR, he said the TRS chief claimed that he is a staunch Hindu and he performed yagam. But Hindu society would not recognise those performing yagams to ensure his son would be succeed him as Chief Minister.
He said the BJP is not against any religion. The TRS, Congress and Communists aligned themselves with the "communal" AIMIM, but they would try to malign BJP as a communal party.
