Hyderabad: Saidabad police on Sunday booked a case against Maulana Naseeruddin's son for violating the norms of lockdown during the funeral of his father on Saturday.
According to police, they informed the family members to limit the number of gatherings at the funeral but the family did not comply with the orders. Henceforth a case has been booked under section 188 (Disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) and 269 (Negligent act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life) of the IPC.
Maulana Naseeruddin passed away on Saturday morning at his residence in Saidabad. His last prayers were held at Eidgah Ujale Shah in Saidabad and the burial took place in the adjoining graveyard in the evening.
