Hyderabad: Case booked against Revanth Reddy

Hyderabad: The Jubilee Hills police have registered a case against Congress leader and Malkajgiri MP A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday for obstructing policemen from performing their duty. Revanth Reddy along with his followers pushed policemen who were trying to arrest him in front of his house on Monday.

Revanth along with his followers tried to go to Pragati Bhavan as part of a protest programme of the Congress Party. Later videos went viral on social media in which MP Revanth Reddy, his associates and party activists were seen coming out of Revanth's residence by pushing the policemen. The MP rushed to Pragati Bhavan on bike and staged protest there. Police took him into custody and later shifted him to the Kamatipura police station.

Based on the complaint from Sub-inspector of Jubilee Hills police station stating that the MP and his followers obstructed their duty, cases were registered against the MP and his three associates under section IPC 351, 353 and 332.
