Hyderabad: Central Bank CVO Parshuram Panda stresses on preventive vigilance

Koti: Chief Vigilance officer of Central Bank of India Parshuram Panda visited the regional office of the bank here on Tuesday. He held a meeting with regional managers of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Telangana and managers of local branches of the bank.

Parshuram Panda stressed on the importance of preventive vigilance to curb corruption. The word 'vigilance' means alertness, watchfulness or circumspection. Preventive vigilance signifies continuous watchfulness on the part of the top management of the bank so as to prevent happening of any untoward incidents with adverse financial implications for the organisation and its customers.

Panda advised the bank officials to strive for inculcating habit of fighting corruption among its staff. He stressed upon a compliance proof and corruption free environment in the society. It was also made amply clear that any wrong act on the part of staff members will be dealt with seriously. He also touched upon the latest provisions of Prevention of Corruption Act which deals with severely against bribe giver as well.
