Hyderabad: Central govt instigated Delhi riots, alleges CPM
Patancheru: District CPI (M) secretariat member K Rajayya on Saturday alleged that the Delhi communal riots, resulting in 53 deaths, was a 'conspiracy' by the Central government. He was speaking after receiving donations for the riot victims collected in the industrial estate here by the party's union president Rajesh.
Rajayya demanded the immediate resignation of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while alleging that the riots spread because of Narendra Modi government's 'failure'. He said the Centre should own up the responsibility for the riots as its 'inefficiency' had led to the killing of over 50 people.
The CPI(M) leader contended that the BJP had no right to rule while asking the Union ministers to clarify. He demanded payment of ex-gratia to the families of those killed and improved treatment to the injured. 'Help and cooperation should be provided to those who lost everything in the communal violence', Rajayya stated.
Among those present at the fund raising programme were union secretary Ramulu, representatives Santosh Goud, Kiran and Srikanth.
