Hyderabad: The Union Health Ministry is deploying Central teams to 10 States including Telangana and Andhra Pradesh that have witnessed or are witnessing high case load and high spurt in Covid-19 incidence.

The Central teams will assist the health departments in these states waging an all-out fight against the Covid-19. Each team will comprise a senior official from the health ministry, a joint secretary-level nodal officer and a public health expert.

It may be recalled that already 20 central teams of public health experts were earlier sent to the high case load districts and the list included Hyderabad also.

Besides Telangana and AP, they visited Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab and West Bengal. Meanwhile, Telangana reported 33 fresh cases on Sunday, taking overall count to 1,196. No person was discharged and no person died on Sunday. Active cases at present stand at 415.

As many as 26 cases of the total 33 cases were detected in GHMC limits only, where no break is seen in number of positive cases. New cases are being seen in Vanasthalipuram, LB Nagar and Saroornagar belt and the same continued even on Sunday. Seven fresh cases registered on Sunday were that of migrants who came from neighboring states to Telangana.

Meanwhile, two flights, one from San Francisco, USA will arrive at 6.45 am and another flight from Abu Dhabi will arrive at 11 pm at Shamshabad airport, on Monday.
