Hyderabad: CGI, one of the leading IT companies in India, in partnership with Bala Vikasa donated medical equipment to Gandhi Hospital in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic.
As Telangana is one of the worst affected states in India, the State government has converted the Gandhi Hospital into a full-fledged facility to treat only Covid-19 patients.
To help the hospital combat the pandemic, critical equipment such as continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), video laryngoscopes and a deep freezer maintaining minus 80 Degree temperature for plasma storage has been donated.
This equipment will aid the hospital prepare for plasma therapy to deliver high-value critical care to the novel coronavirus infected patients.
The equipment has been handed over to Gandhi Hospital through Health Minister Eatela Rajender. The minister lauded the efforts of CGI and Bala Vikasa in providing very essential and modern equipment for the treatment of Covid patients. The Gandhi Hospital superintendent, Dr Raja Rao said the hospital is the first one in Telugu states to have the CRRT machine which is very essential for treating Covid patients who are under dialysis.
