Hyderabad charging Rs 77 per litre for petrol, second highest among metros

Petrol prices in the city hiked on Saturday after the announcement of a cess hike in fuel prices the union budget.

The petrol price was hiked by Rs 2.6 to Rs 77.48 per litre while the diesel price also saw a similar rise and is now Rs 72.62 per litre. On Saturday, the city charged Rs 77.48 per litre for petrol after Mumbai which is charging Rs 78.57 per litre.

Hyderabad is followed by Chennai which is the third highest as it is charging Rs 75.76. Meanwhile, Bengaluru one of the top metro cities is charging Rs 75.37 per litre.

The least is being charged by New Delhi at Rs 72.96 per litre for petrol.
